Which Is Better 24 Hour Bracelets Or 24 Hour Wristbands

What is a Tyvek Wristband and How Can I Use One in My Marketing Campaign?
By Paul Sung

There is a very good possibility that you have come across or heard of a silly thing called a 'paper wristband'. A word which undoubtedly conjures up memories of making paper crafts when you were only knee high to a grasshopper and did not know that your lovely paper bracelet would fall to pieces the minute it was soaked in any type of liquid. Since this is the case, perhaps a better way in which to refer to these real-world paper wristbands would be by its real name of 'Tyvek wristband'.

Unlike the fragile sounding paper wristbands, these Tyvek material wristbands are not fragile and have been known to be waterproof. They can be worn for a number of hours and still not have any sign of wear and tear on them. This is all due to the special construction of the Tyvek wristband. The material Tyvek is created from is a blend of fibre, fabric, and interestingly enough, paper. The method in which it is created makes it tougher than paper alone, thereby making it wearable.

The big question you might be asking yourself however, is not necessarily how wristbands known as 'paper wrist bands' became popular alongside their silicone and vinyl counterparts, but of what use they are in day to day normal life. Seeing as how they are after all considered to be paper wristbands, it can be somewhat confusing as to how these would come in to play in a person's life on a daily basis like their silicone based cousins.

The answer to that lays in the fact that a Tyvek wristband is worn not on a daily basis, but is used only for one-off purposes. In short, these wrist bands are treated as if they were made of paper in terms of duration of usage. For the people who buy and utilise these wristbands, the life expectancy of them is only for a few hours, a day at the most. This is because they are used for such things as admission control to concerts and sporting events, as a method of crowd control, and as a method of determining age (to restrict serving alcohol to underage persons) to name a few.

Tyvek wristband is marketed as a single-use wristband, unlike a normal silicone wristband which has a longer life expectancy. In fact, it is this single-use system which makes these wristbands desirable. For instance, in a situation where admission to an event is being monitored through means of these wrist bands, it becomes infinitely more difficult for a group of people looking to circumvent the need for purchasing multiple entrance tickets to do so if a paper wristband is used in lieu of a paper ticket.

This wristband is secured in place around each person's wrist, and since this is done by securing the ends of the wristband against the adhesive backing on them, it becomes difficult to remove the wristband without defacing it in some manner. This, as you can see, is entirely desirable if you are looking to minimise the number of people looking to gate-crash an event. For this purpose alone using a Tyvek wristband is highly desirable, and it makes sense to utilise it for your own objectives.
